Sustainable Development Goals The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 shared values and global goals set out by the United Nations, and have been adopted by countries to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved by the year 2030, and for the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part; governments, the private sector, civil society and people like yourselves. Paris Climate Accord The COP21 Agreement, which stands for the Paris Climate Accord is a deal that was created in December 2015 that united 195 of the world’s nations in a single agreement on tackling climate change for the first time in history.
